Skye you may remember this one, I am sure I posted it to the old forum, and although my memory is not all that good, I think I wrote it specifically for the old forum.

Silver Droplets

Silver droplets, falling down.
Silver droplets, hit the ground.
Silver droplets, refresh the earth.
Silver droplets, bring rebirth.
Rain.

Silver droplets, on the fields.
Silver droplets, increase the yield.
Silver droplets, in the trees.
Silver droplets, sustain the leaves.
Rain.

Silver droplets for, the fox and bear.
Silver droplets streaming, through our hair.
Silver droplets, oh life, divine.
Silver droplets to wet, these lips of mine.
Rain.

Silver droplets gathering, by the hour.
Silver droplets unleash, a mighty power.
Silver droplets into puddles, and rivers first.
Silver droplets do make, the banks to burst.
Rain.

Silver droplets roiling, boiling, race.
Silver droplets ever rising, increase the pace.
Silver droplets through valley, and down from the hill.
Silver droplets to the ocean, finally spill.
Rain.

Silver droplets, clean and pure.
Silver droplets, God's own cure.
Rain.

I seem to remember this one. I can identify with is as so many can, a lovely piece my friend that lifts the spirit.

But I am so pleased you have put it up, I love walking in the rain, as no-one knows that I am crying.

A cleansing, revitalising piece. Nothing like feeling the gentle rain on ones face. I love the refreshing smell that rain leaves behind after it has carressed the vegetation.

HI Birdy, thank you for dropping in. I don't know about your side of the big pond, but over here that wonderful smell usually arrives an hour or so before the rain.

Yes it does on this side of the pond. The smell before and the smell afterwards are both wonderful but different. I see it as, one is expectation and the other thanks.

I sense that you have a lot in you that would make lovely verse. Why not treat us all with one of your own pieces?

I typed out a poem I wrote some time ago and tried to post it but somehow I must have pressed the wrong buttons. I will try again later. Need to take the dog for a walk.

I told you I keep pressing the wrong buttons, 'cause I pressed the bottom link on the onging poem instead of the top one. But have added a line anyway. This is a refreshing place to be amongst fellow free spirits.
